How it works.
Ask us about your requirement. If you’re an existing client, please email your usual project manager with your requirements. For consistency, we try to ensure you get the same project manager and team every time work is required. If you’re new to My Outsourced Web Team, please use the form to outline your requirements. We will then assess this.
The secret to getting the best from a project is having a crystal clear understanding of requirements – crystal clear to everybody concerned with the project both on the client’s team and the My Outsourced Web Team team. Simple jobs will be relatively easily codified into a specification whereas others may require time to specify fully, unless the client provides a comprehensive scope of work. Once the scope of work has been fully assessed we can give a very accurate estimate.
Working from a detailed specification or scope of work makes it easy to accurately assess the work required and, barring anything unforeseen, the estimate will be exact.
Once the estimate has been accepted and an order with deposit received we can start the development.
Once the deposit for the work has been received we’ll start the development stage. We can develop on your live server, live or in a separate private area or we can use our own development servers that we provide free of charge. Normally the work required will determine the best method. When complete we’ll ask the client to check the work.
If during your project either party discovers additional requirements, then these “feature creep” items will be estimated before any commitment is made. It’s quite common for the client to want to extend the requirements as innovative ideas emerge.
Normally no work will go live without the client fully proofing and testing. Once proofed the client will sign off the work and complete a satisfaction statement. This is an important line in the sand stage and once completed we can make the development live.
Delivery is effectively making the signed off work live. Once the final payments are received the delivery will be the final deployment to the client’s live server.
As we have a belt and braces approach to security, for absolute assurance, it is important that readily recoverable backups are available in the case of unforeseen issues requiring recovery. This will have been concluded during the Assessment stage.
Clients work can be asking us to do something as simple as fixing a form to being the main developer for a full project. Ask us anything that you need doing on your website.
